All of the numerous hues of horse colour are created with only two colors. The progenitor of all coats is black or chestnut, and several genes work on it to dilute it, resulting in a variety of patterns. The following 10 horses have distinctive and eye-catching hair coats.

This may be the only white-shadowed horse in the world! Because of the uniqueness of the design, his owners named him Da Vinci.
