Weight management is one of the major problems of the general population. Losing weight becomes a challenge when the person goes over their normal body weight. But being fit and maintaining a normal body weight will depend on the perseverance and the willingness of the person. And when the individual refuses to accept the reality that he or she needs to lose weight, then nothing will change.

This is the case for 34-year-old Casey King. He has no job, no money, and he lives at home with his father. He cannot even get out of the house nor stand up on his own. That is because he weighs over 700 pounds. In fact, he can’t even fit in a pair of underwear.

His story was featured recently on the TLC reality series called Family by the Ton. This show follows the life of the morbidly obese families who are in desperate need to lose weight.

On the show, Casey revealed what his typical day would be like. He said that he wakes up around noon, eat, play video games, watch television, and eat some more before going to bed. During his interview, Casey said, “I’m accepted in all those virtual reality worlds and the gaming world I’m in. No one sees me.

That is my outside. That is my world that I can be the Casey I want to be, but not be judged on my weight. ’”

Casey has always been overweight most of his life. Since he was a kid and all through his high school days. That is why it was not unexpected that he would be as huge as he is now. Then he progressively continues to eat his way all throughout the years. And now, he rarely moves. And if he does, that is to eat his favorite food – fast food and Japanese cuisine.

He explains, “Me and my dad would get hibachi delivered, sushi by the barrel. I mean, just anything you wanted to eat, we were getting.”

Since he cannot wear comfortable clothes anymore, he can’t bathe himself either. There was a time when he got stuck in the shower for nine hours. But now, he only bathes in a metal trough outside the bathroom. He shares, “I have to lift up literal pieces of skin.

It’s just a super difficult process. Because I am a bigger guy with, like, folds and flaps, I have to move around, almost like a pig in a way, and wallow and roll over to get the back of my leg. ”

People are wondering how his father allowed him to live like this? How can he let his child let go and do this to himself?

His father explained, “It gets old, and I get tired of it. He should be more active, but he’s not. He’s just there. I wait on him hand and foot, and I shouldn’t do it, but I do. I love him to death. He’s my son and I feel obligated to wait on him.”

For now, Casey is not interested in losing any weight. And it seems like his father will just wait for him to have the courage and perseverance to lose weight. For Casey, he would eat until he could not eat anymore.
