A Heroic Mother Dog Starved And Frozen For Months Without Leaving Her Five Pups Hungry

The touching tale of Celeste, a devoted mother dog, has touched people all over the internet. When Celeste became pregnant at the age of two, she was cruelly abandoned. Celeste was a calm, loving and sweet child. She was forced to give birth in a dangerous setting and to dwell on the streets.

Due to her challenging circumstances, she practically shriveled away to nothing while doing everything she could to care for her adorable babies.

The existence of a street dog is difficult. In addition, there are five puppies that need to be born, fed, and cared for. Celeste and her five puppies were most likely found to be severely undernourished. She made the most of every nutrient she had to feed and warm her young during the chilly winter.

Elaine, Celeste’s foster mother, noted that Celeste was “so thin, and those babies were just feeding like crazy, and she just completed her role as a parent even though she was starving to death.”

Celeste’s puppies were discovered to be in nearly perfect health despite their difficult early life. Celeste struggled to keep her five puppies alive, and her appearance reflected the effects of starvation. For more than five months, the dedicated mother had done everything she could to keep her children safe and healthy. Celeste was the one who was finally getting noticed.

Celeste, according to the BC SPCA, would rather starve than starve her children. “It’s time she felt the same love because she’s given up everything to ensure her babies’ safety after a hard life outside.”

It seemed fated when BC SPCA foster mother Elaine Nelson-Hosak accepted Celeste and her puppies into her home. Celeste entered her life after the death of her closest friend. It almost appeared as if the timing had been meticulously calculated. They needed each other. Who better to ease the love of a wounded heart than a canine companion to provide Celeste and her puppies with the love and care they required?

Celeste was able to gain weight and strength gradually but steadily after that, thanks to a thorough “refeeding” plan. Her body enthusiastically accepted six teeny, nutrient-dense meals per day, and she quickly gained 90 pounds. Four of her five puppies have already found loving homes and returned to their families, which is fantastic news.

Based on how well she responded to therapy and how much she connected with her foster mother, she had clearly found her permanent home. Celeste, affectionately known as “Momma” by her family, is now living the life of a spoiled puppy, cuddling on the sofa with her family and keeping warm by the fire. It’s a far cry from her previous life on the streets. She’s no longer withering, but she’s found her calling. Momma is now safe, warm, and loved.
