Blind Staffie Finds Out A Guide In His Forever Friend!

Amos was born blind at a rescue center and had a difficult time finding a family. When Jess Martin, a volunteer at a local rescue organization, heard about the lovely Staffordshire, she offered to open her home to him.

Jess, on the other hand, was initially concerned about how her 9-year-old terrier Toby would react to his new brother. They quickly became best friends, and Toby is now Amos’s unofficial guide dog. They’d been on some incredible adventures together and formed a wonderful bond, so the prospect of expanding their small family sounded a little daunting. Toby and Amos’ friendship blossomed after a couple of days of uncertainty.

Toby is present at home to nudge Amos towards his water bowl, to open the door for him, or simply to cuddle up on the couch with him. During training, the two even work on synchronized commands.

Amos’s main problem is that other dogs don’t like him when they approach him, which is understandable given that he can’t communicate in the same way as other dogs, so he doesn’t have any friends. But, thankfully, Toby is there to protect him and be his best friend.

Their bond is incredible!
