Homeless Cat Befriends Family Dog And Demands To Be His Friend

A stray kitten was discovered in the yard of a home in Denver, Colorado. Despite his allergy to cats, the man who found him stepped in to assist, sending the kitten to Knya’s, his dog groomer, while they looked for his family.

Knya went about her business looking for a suitable home for the kitten and began asking around the neighborhood and at shelters if anyone had lost a cat. After several hours of work, he discovered that no one had claimed the cat.
“I also carried him home that night because he didn’t have a collar or a microchip.”

The plan had been to provide a temporary home for the kitten while she sought help from a shelter, but everything changed when the kitten curled up in her hands. They were all enchanted by the adorable feline, but it was his dog, Edward, who showed the most affection. According to the author, “they pretended to be long-lost brothers.”

Since meeting him, the cat has declared the puppy to be his best friend, and they now embrace and follow him everywhere.

“Popsicle is without a doubt Edward’s cat,” Kenya stated. “Popsicle tolerates Ed, no matter how irritating or charming he is. I’m not sure what else to call it if not unconditional love.”

Popsicle now walks to the door and shows signs of wanting to join in the fun when Ed is taken for a walk, he is also walked and fits right in. When the kitty wants to be touched by his owners, he perches on their shoulders and receives the necessary attention.
