Mama Lion Risks Her Life To Save Her Baby Trapped On A Cliff

Mothers love their children unconditionally and risk their lives in any condition to protect them. Nothing is happiest and luckiest than having mothers.

Wild infants truly feel what mothers imply to them.  They can’t make it through in the wild without their mother care and love. This is the case of the lion cub and her mother. Lion cub had fallen over the edge of a cliff because of slipping, but he was trapped and did not fall straight to the bottom of the cliff.

Mother lions came into action after hearing the cry of the lion cub. The lion cub was crying in fear and seeking help from the mothers. The lion cub was hanging on the cliff with the help of his paws and crying out for rescue. Mother lion was trying to help but can’t climb the sloping cliff.

After unsuccessful attempts, she asked for help from a group of males and female lions. They attempted to save the baby after reaching the cliff. But unfortunately, they disagree to climb down the cliff and aborted the mission because of the dangerous slope cliff and it was life-threatening.

A group of females and male lions give up but mother lions however didn’t lose hope of saving her baby. She was ready to rescue her baby without thinking about her life and did the mission on her own. She uses her powerful claws to grip and slowly climb down the cliff.

Mother lion successfully climb down the cliff and pick up the baby lion with her jaws and with the challenging cliff, she successfully climbed and approached the baby to a safer place. Both the mother and the baby lion would end up falling but the mother lion manage to climb the cliff without any slip.

Mama lion and her cub were secure and mama lion gave her anxious son a consoling lick and also the type of hug. It is ok, child. You are secure now.

A heart-breaking race to save a life of a baby lion by his mother was recorded by a wildlife photographer named Jean-Francois Largot in Kenya’s Masai Marga game preserve in Africa. It soon becomes an internet sensation.
