Man’s Scattering His Grandma’s Asʜᴇs When He Sᴘᴏᴛs A Dʀᴏᴡɴɪɴɢ Dog

A 20-ʏᴇᴀʀ-ᴏʟᴅ man named Raden Soemawinata was on Brighton pier to sᴄᴀᴛᴛᴇʀ his grandmother’s Asʜᴇs into the bay in Melbourne, Aᴜsᴛʀᴀʟɪᴀ. But when he was saying ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ to one life, he had no idea he’d wind up sᴀᴠɪɴɢ another. Just as he was paying his respects, a tiny Matlese-shitzu named Bibi was blown off the pier by strong winds and into the water. His owner, Sue Drummond, ᴘᴀɴɪᴄᴋᴇᴅ and ꜰᴇᴀʀᴇᴅ that her furry best friend would ᴅʀᴏᴡɴ.

Soemawinata didn’t hesitate. He stripped off his excess clothing and jumped into the water wearing only his ᴜɴᴅᴇʀᴡᴇᴀʀ and a shirt. Drummond watched with others who had now gathered to see what would happen.

Bibi was sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟɪɴɢ in the water but Soemawinata was able to snatch him up and bring him back to the pier. He was rewarded with a big hug from Drummond, who was overjoyed to have her little friend back and sᴀꜰᴇ. She probably never imagined that this could have happened but one thing is certain. She won’t be at the pier with Bibi any longer without ʜᴏʟᴅɪɴɢ ᴏɴ ᴛɪɢʜᴛ.

Without Soemawinata, ᴘᴏᴏʀ Bibi may have ᴅʀᴏᴡɴᴇᴅ. Drummond says she ʜᴇsɪᴛᴀᴛᴇᴅ jumping in the water after him, because she wasn’t sure if she’d make it to shore with a sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟɪɴɢ dog.

Thankfully Soemawinata, who has been hailed a hero, was at the right place at the right time to save Bibi. It was definitely ꜰᴀᴛᴇ, and both Bibi and Drummond are beyond thankful for his quick-thinking.Raden’s selfless ʀᴇsᴄᴜɪɴɢ of Bibi the dog earned him fans from all over the world.
