The Photographer Captures A Unique Encounter Between Grizzly Bear And Wolf.

An amateur photographer from Montana recently made a sensation on the Internet by capturing a unique encounter between a grizzly bear and a wolf in Yellowstone National Park.

When Seth Royal Croft heard that a grizzly bear had killed a giant elk, he saw it as the perfect opportunity to snap some great pictures with his camera. Just after midnight he got into the car and, after driving for four hours, Seth was already standing on the bank of the river waiting for action. And he got plenty of it!

When a Montana photographer spotted a giant bear trying to hide its prey on the banks of the Yellowstone River, the sun began to shine and a thick mist floated over the water. But when the gray wolf appeared, the scene became even more dramatic. This was Seth’s first encounter with a wolf in the wild.

“It was very exciting,” he told Bored Panda. “I have encountered black bears a few times while camping, but most of them are relatively harmless. I’ve only seen grizzly bears a few times in Yellowstone park. All of this means I still usually carry bear spray with me when I travel to potential bear country.”

Although wolves are natural predators and very playful, grizzly bear looked extremely calm when the intruder approached. He had no worries at all.

“As big as he is, the grizzly knew that a single wolf was not a threat,” explains the photographer. “The wolf seemed to have a mischievous and playful attitude. Like it was a game. He was slowly getting as close to the elk as he could, gaining a few inches of distance before the bear would stir slightly and quickly pushed the wolf back.

The wolf tried his luck a few times, but failed every time, so he ended up getting lost in the woods. This time empty-handed !
