Unwanted Dog Beats Cancer And Gets Her Loving Forever Home

Spread the love

Sid is a dog who met the Sidewalk team during one of their outreach drives in De Doorns.

Sidewalk is a South African dog rescue and mass sterilization unit based in De Doorns. The organization’s goal is to help pets by providing free vet care and sterilization. As if that wasn’t enough, they also offer free chemotherapy to dogs with Transmissible Venereal Tumors (TVT).

Sid luckily crossed paths with Sidewalk.

Sid’s family wanted to have the poor dog euthanized at the time because she had cancer. TVT was discovered in her.

Fortunately, Sidewalk can assist with this type of cancer. They took Sid in and generously funded her chemotherapy sessions in the hopes of curing her.

They were Sid’s ray of light.

Despite Sidewalk’s offer to pay for the treatment, it was as if her previous family no longer wanted her. It’s heartbreaking to see how easily they could have abandoned the poor dog simply because she was sick.

Sid had 12 chemotherapy sessions in total. She fought her way through the difficult treatments and emerged victorious.

Sid is finally cancer-free!

Not only that, but she has also received another great blessing: she has finally found her forever home!

It was initially difficult to determine whether anyone would want to take home a dog with a cancer history. Besides, caring for a dog is an accomplishment in and of itself, especially if the dog has recently battled a terrifying disease such as cancer.

But things worked out beautifully for her.

Her pains have been replaced by complete joy in the arms of a family who adores and loves her. She is now considered the family’s little princess.

She now gets to spend her days with other dogs, who quickly become her best friends. After battling cancer, she now has the freedom to play whenever she deserves.

She honestly deserves the whole world!

Sid appears to enjoy kisses and hugs, which she receives not only from her furdaddy but also from her fur buddies. She now knows a few tricks and is eager to learn more. Sid is having the time of her life!

It’s also clear how much better she looks now than when Sidewalk first got her. She now appears to be completely healthy and happy!

This is all because of Sidewalk.

Sidewalk deserves our full respect and admiration for all that they do for these animals. Dogs truly deserve the best, and they certainly gave Sid that and more.

Sid is now cancer-free and lives in a home where she is adored more than anything else. This is what every dog deserves. What was once a cancer-stricken dog is now a healthy pet who can give and receive love.

Congratulations to Sidewalk and every other organization that helps our beloved pets.
