Woman Attempts To Save Large Stray Dog After Falling In Love With Him

Spread the love

When a woman first noticed him, he was staying at a gas station on a highway about 100 miles outside of Athens, Greece. Despite his skeletal frame and mange-ravaged skin, he exuded a calm, silent demeanor. His large, emerald eyes were trembling as he looked at the woman.

“She fell in love with him, photographed him, and returned to Athens, leaving her heart by his side and promising to return soon.” And she was successful. “I went with her,” Valia Orfanidou of Orphan Pet GR says.

They returned two days later, spending hours at the gas station “trying to help that dog who was asking for help but refusing to let us help him at the same time.”

On the other hand, the woman was adamant about not giving up. She sat down on the ground and tried her hardest to persuade the dog to come over to her side. Slowly but steadily, the woman gained his trust.

“After catching him and loading him into the car, everything was a piece of cake,” Valia recalls, “because the giant is one of the most submissive and kind animals I have ever met.” The dog’s name was “Arnie.”

Arnie has come a long way since then. He’s a sweetheart of a dog who’s been neutered and is happy and healthy. He’s currently looking for a long-term home with SCARS Greece (and all the volunteers are crazy about this lovable dog).
