Wonder Puppy Survives Stabbing Thanks To Her Heroic Adopter

Smoke, a Pit Bull puppy, has a tragic past, but he hides it well. Her former human stabbed her at least seven times, damaging her trachea and carotid artery. Molly Weinfurter of iheartdogs.com says that Smoke wouldn’t have survived without Brad Chambers’ compassionate heart.
Smoke is now one of the happiest and most affectionate dogs you will ever see. She has no signs of her traumatic force and has recovered from all her injuries. But all of this would not have been possible without the help of her new favorite human.
When Smoke was a little puppy, she hid under Chambers’ car in Virginia. As he approached her, he noticed that she was bleeding. The unfortunate dog was most likely hiding from the person who harmed her. She had many stab wounds and didn’t seem to be going to survive.
Fortunately, Chambers, a former police officer, knew exactly what to do. In the car, he carried a trauma kit which allowed him to save the dog’s life. He then moved her to nearest veterinary hospital for further treatment. Her injuries were so serious that she had to be taken to North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine for surgery.
“She has fully recovered from all surgeries, is full of energy and has a strong commitment to herself,” Chambers added.
After all her surgeries, her medical bills amounted to at least $15,000. Chambers paid some out of his pocket, but was able to raise the rest through fundraising. It was then that he realized that Smoke had to be part of the family.
Chambers adopted Smoke because he believes he can provide her with the lovely home she needs. She had already come out of her shell and revealed her genuine nature in his presence. So Chambers is very happy to spend the rest of his life with his adorable Pit Bull.
“She’s one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever met,” Chambers said. “This is a dog that needs to find a home where everyone can benefit from her affection, and yes, I love dogs.”
Since she’s so loving, Smoke is now training to become a certified therapy dog. She can use her charming and uplifting attitude to help others in need.
